Women in Pediatric Surgery

Welcome to Our Website for Women in Pediatric Surgery

We are a growing network of female pediatric surgeons and female trainees in pediatric surgery, united by the goal of supporting and empowering women in our field.

This collaboration began at the EUPSA Congress in Athens in 2021, where female pediatric surgeons came together to discuss the representation and experiences of women in pediatric surgery—both in clinical practice and at professional conferences. From these conversations, the idea to work more closely together emerged.

Today, our network includes more than 140 women from, or currently working in, the following countries:

We presented our first collaborative projects at the WOFAPS Congress 2022, including:
